I’m thinking about what’s going on in the world today Coronavirus, political nastiness, church infighting about LGBTQ, safety of the people vs bolstering the economy reminds me of a song made popular in the late 60’s and early 70’s. It was a different time and a very different “war” but the opening lyrics still says it all. Marvin Gaye sang it with heart. The opening verse touches home especially today. Mother, mother There's too many of you crying Brother, brother, brother There's far too many of you dying You know we've got to find a way To bring some lovin' here today, eh eh The times were trying then and maybe even more so today. My good friend’s wife joined the Lord suddenly almost three weeks ago and while the family is deeply grieving he admits that the loss of his wife and the mother of his sons has had two very positive things happen to his family. It has brought each of them closer to each other and closer to Christ. I don’t pretend to know why the world is suffering with the Coronavirus but I do know and believe what Marvin Gaye sang “You know we’ve got to find a way To bring some lovin hear today.” We’re taught in nearly every book in the Bible that God is love and maybe through all the turmoil we will find how to bring that love here today. Bless each of you and your families and keep your distance.
Dear Charles,
I rejoice to see your message. That means that you are feeling better? I trust you are and may God continue to arise with healing in His wings for YOU.
I love all the comments of Christians and how we KNOW our God, KNOW the truth, and therefore may trust Him…
To think that God in His sovereign love could make the whole world think about LIFE and the ‘earthly things’ are on hold.
It is so clear that this time is for a reason appointed by the Lord; may we not miss any opportunity He sets before us.
Please share any prayer needs you have, for I will pray…
In His Love, ~Judith
